I am a wildlife artist and photographer, passionate about the environment and conservation. I was born in Moscow, Russia, grew up in Canada, today I live in Australia. I have loved to draw and create ever since I could hold a pencil. My childhood dream was to be a scientist - a biologist like my mother - but as I grew up I realised I not only enjoyed learning about science and the natural world, I also loved seeing, photographing, drawing, and painting it. I am a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University), in Canada, where I focused on Illustration and Photography. I love to observe animals in the wild, and to share Nature's beauty with others through photography...

I live in Samford Valley, north west of Brisbane, and am fortunate enough to be surrounded by bushland, which I find calms me, but also inspires me. I have been interested in art and artistic pursuits for as long as I can remember, and find myself drawn to natural subjects, in particular, birds. I have worked in most mediums, but in the last couple of years have discovered the joys of pastel – I just love the subtleties of colour that can be achieved. View Alan's art:  Alan Young

I was born in beautiful Switzerland in 2000 and was fascinated with Australia ever since I was a kid. There was just something about this huge country on the other side of the world that attracted me. In 2017 my dream then finally became true. Since then Australia has become my second home and being there is always an unforgettable time for me.   I started drawing early on and it has always been a part of me. I took some art classes at school when I was younger but taught myself most of it on my own until the second half of high school.  I changed my major in...

I was born in Italy in 1984. I come from Porto Recanati, Le Marche on the central eastern coast of Italy. I have always been deeply fascinated and attracted by animals and nature, especially birds. Drawing and painting started in my childhood, when I spent some time living in the country and started bird watching. I fell in love with watercolours and bird portraiture after a book by Marjolein Bastin and another book by Louis Agassiz Fuertes. I am a self-taught water-colourist and photographer since 1995. Life events eventually brought me to Brisbane, Australia in 2009. Here, my creativity started to pour out thanks to the charming Australian wildlife that lives in a very close contact with humans.  From 2014 to 2017, a selection of...
